Funding Series: List of 19 Indian Startups That Raised Funding (26 March 2018 to 1 April 2018)

Fynd is a Mumbai- based online shopping platform.This ecommerce startup brings the latest inventory of fashion items for men and women. It offers latest trends from the best brands with best price and a quick delivery compared to others.

Founded Year: 2013 

Founders: Farooq Adam, Harsh Shah, Sreeraman Mohan Girija 

Funding: Fynd received an undisclosed funding from global search giant Google through a series C funding round. The co-founders want to use the capital raised to further bolster their growth trajectory.  


Huddle is a Gurugram-based co-working startup incubator, which focuses on mentorship and brings together start-ups and industry leaders, to provide intellectual, social and financial capital for each Huddler. 

Founded Year: 2017 

Founders: Ishaan Khosla, Rakesh Bhatia 

Funding: Huddle has secured $300,000 from leading industry experts and investors from the San Francisco Bay Area and Singapore. The co-founders plan to utilise the funds to expand its mentor network outside India and provide incubation at a global level. 


Smartcoin, a Bangalore based lending platform which enables small to mid sized ticket loans to mobile users after building a SmartCoin credit score, which is backed by data science and machine learning. Its vision is to provide financial access to millions of mobile users of India using alternative credit assessment aided by data science and machine learning.  

Founded Year: Nov 23, 2015 

Founders: Rohit Garg, Amit Chandel, Vinay Kumar Singh, Jayant Upadhyay 

Funding: SmartCoin, has secured $2 million in pre-series A round of investment led by a Chinese VC firm and Accion Venture Lab. The startup will use the funding to further invest in technology and grow its team as it continues with its expansion plans, with an aim to cover a much larger customer base. 

Universal Sportsbiz 

Bangalore based fashion startup Universal Sportsbiz Pvt. Ltd (USPL) started as an e-tailing platform, and later begun sourcing and selling sports memorabilia. It later matured into an omni-channel fashion brand platform and has multiple partnerships with famous sports and movie personalities to co-create apparel brands. The company also sells celebrity fashion accessories and merchandise. It was backed by Sachin Tendulkar.

Founder: Anjana Reddy 

Funding: Universal Sportsbiz Pvt. Ltd. raised Rs 30 crore ($4.6 million) in venture debt funding from Alteria Capital.  


Mumbai-based gaming company Smaaash is an immersive and interactive entertainment center that offers a mix of active and passive entertainment and innovative games. It allotted 1,06,05,350 preference shares of $0.15(INR 10) each at a premium of $0.43 (INR 27.92) each on March 23, 2018. The allotments have been made to Ravi Modi, founder of Manyavar; Lakshmi Narayanan, former vice chairman of Cognizant, and Vijaylaxmi Poddar of Balkrishna Industries amongst others.

Funding: Smaaash has raised $6.17 Mn (INR 40.2 Cr) funding from 23 High Networth Individuals (HNIs). 

Creditas Solutions 

Gurugram-based fintech startup, Creditas Solutions’s aim to help Financial Institutions find better ways to reach and interact with their customers. 

Founded Year: 2015 

Founders: Anshuman Panwar, Madan Srinivasan 

Funding: In a pre-series A funding round Creditas Solutions has secured an undisclosed amount, led by its existing investor 1Crowd, an equity crowdfunding platform. The funds raised will be used for expansion of the team, data science capabilities and to make investments in technology, particularly to focus on providing banks a single platform to manage the entire delinquency cycle. 


DriveU , Bangalore based Rental, Taxi Service startup. DriveU is a convenient and a quick way of getting on demand drivers for consumers and businesses. DriveU pledged to donate 1% of their revenue from the get-go to CUPA, an India-based public charitable trust for the welfare of animals.

Founders: Amulmeet Chadha, Ashok Shastry, Rahm Shastry 

Funding: DriveU has raised $3 Mn in Pre-Series A funding led by Singhal Foundation. The funds will be utilitsed to further expand our reach and offerings to our customers. 


Benepik, a Gurgaon based HR Technology start-up which provides mobile based solution for Employee Communication, Employee Engagement, Rewards and Recognition. It’s mission is to help organizations achieve superior results through an engaged & motivated workforce. 

Founded Year: 2015 

Founders:  Saurabh Jain 

Funding: Benepik has raised the seed funding from a group of investors including Vishal Bali Yogesh Misra, and a Delhi based HNI. 


Myra, a Bangalore based online pharmacy is a unique solution of technology and operations that makes buying medicines fast and efficient. 

Founded Year: 2014 

Founders: Anirudh Coontoor, Faizan Aziz 

Funding: In funding led by Tokyo-headquartered management consulting firm Dream Incubator, Mya has secured raised $1.84 Mn (INR 12 Cr). 

V Resorts 

Noida-based V Resorts, an asset-light resort management startup alternate accommodation provider in the leisure travel space. The company operates on a business model of aggregating existing properties and managing the operations of those properties on a revenue share basis.

Founders: Aditi Balbir 

Funding: V Resorts has raised $4 Mn in its third round of funding led by Seedfund and RB International. 


SaaS-based customer experience management platform Survaider. This bangalore based startuup lets enterprises understand voice of customers and act on it, across all their business locations in real time. 

Founded Year: Sep 2015 

Founders: Madhulika Mukherjee, Tushar Mishra 

Funding: Survaider has raised $5,00,000 in a funding round that was led by The Chennai Angels and Axilor Ventures along with participation from other angels.The startup wants to use its funds for product enhancement and for expansion to other verticals in India as well as internationally. 

The Ken 

Bangalore based The Ken is a new, digital, subscription-driven publication whose goal is to deliver fresh and original business insight through well-narrated stories to professionals, entrepreneurs, investors and leaders every morning.

Funding:  The Ken has secured $225.63K (INR 1.47 Cr) from a set of HNIs,  

Siddharth Bhammar, Anchal Jain and Murali A. 

Predible Health  

Artificial Intelligence-based cancer radiology platform Predible Health produces healthcare devices for cancer detention. This bangalore based startup combine the power of Deep Learning and Cloud Computation to deliver the future of radiology reporting.   

Funding: Predible Health raised $35.3K (INR 23 Lakh) from the Hyderabad-based incubator, IKP Knowledge Park.  


Roadcast is an online vehicle tracking platform. This Delhi-based startup, tracks the employees and deliveries for better employee and delivery management with live GPS tracking in real time.  

Founded Year: Sep 25, 2015 

Funding: Roadcast has secured $250K in an angel round of funding from high-net-worth individuals from the United Arab Emirates. The startup plans to use the funding to scale its operations across major cities in India and further expand its research and development programme, hiring technology talent and building infrastructure for its operations. 


Deybazar,Kolkata-based e-grocery startup provides the best quality products for daily need such as grocery,vegetables,fruits,fish,meat etc. 

Founded Year: 2015 

Founders: Abhirup Basak, Kumaresh Bhattacharjee 

Funding: In a Pre-Series A round of funding, DelyBazar has secured $300K (INR 2 Cr) from a clutch of investors. It plans to use the funding to expand its operations in cities like Bhubaneswar, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. 

The Print 

The print was launched by Veteran journalist and former editor-in-chief of The Indian Express Shekhar Gupta. 

Founded Year: January 2016 

Founders: Shekhar Gupta 

Funding: Delhi-based online news portal The Print raised $535K (INR 3.49 Cr) in an extended seed funding round from existing investor Ratan Tata. 


FactorDaily provides insights on companies, culture, future, and lifestyles. This Bengaluru-based news media startup is a technology news site based in India. 

Founded Year: January 2016 

Founders: Jayadevan PK, Pankaj Mishra, Titash Neogi 

Funding: In an extended series A funding round FactorDaily raised $116.65K (INR 76 Lakhs) from existing investors, Vijay Shekhar Sharma and Girish Mathrubootham. 

Carmel Organics 

Madhya Pradesh-based agritech startup, Carmel Organics  is an India-based herb company engaged in sourcing, processing, and distributing herbal tea ingredients.

  • Funding: India-focused venture capital firm Ankur Capital has invested an undisclosed amount in Carmel Organics. The startup will use the funding to scale-up its business, particularly targeting the global markets.
